SHAH ALAM - Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) is ready to hold discussions with Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) over possible collaboration in the upcoming state elections.

PSM deputy chairman and election director S. Arutchelvan said the party and Muda shared common values such as fighting against racism and corruption.

"We are prepared to hold a discussion with Muda since both parties share common values.

"No meetings or seat negotiations have been done with regards to the state election," he said when contacted.

Arutchelvan added that PSM planned to contest in limited seats in the elections that will be held in six states.

Recently, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said there was a possibility of a collaboration between Muda and PSM.

He said that both parties shared more common interest than differences.
