KEMAMAN - The excitement of the campaigning ahead of the state polls is felt even more as all six states involved have now dissolved their respective state assemblies.

Barisan Nasional's (BN) strategic communications director, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, was no exception as he creatively campaigned on a wooden box around the Kemasik state assembly area.

He said the soapbox campaign concept from the United Kingdom was adopted as it is more relaxed, has no protocol, and is closer to the people.

"We are doing a series of campaigns throughout the Atas Tong Tour, which covers Kertih, Kemasik, and Felda zones.

"This approach will be used in a series of campaigns that will be conducted throughout this state election," he told reporters.

The Kemasik Umno secretariat chief said that he will continue to approach the people to ensure that information is delivered directly on the campaign stage.

He said that the campaign style on a 0.6-metre-high and 1.2-metre-wide box will be further expanded throughout the campaign period this election.
