NIBONG TEBAL - The issue of a Primary One pupil in Negeri Sembilan allegedly locked up in a makeshift metal cage has been resolved.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the school and the parents of the student involved have resolved the matter.

In fact, she said the State Education Department (JPN) has also taken appropriate action to resolve the matters raised.

"As I mentioned, the department has handled the case well. In terms of the investigation, all matters and actions taken in response to the issue raised have been completed.

"This action was taken to ensure the overall safety of the parties involved, not only the students but also the school," she said when met after attending a Qurban ceremony programme organised at Masjid Al Huda Sungai Bakau, here, today.

Furthermore, Fadhlina also hoped that the case could serve as a lesson for all and prevent similar incidents in the future.

"Thank you everyone for your concern about the issue, and the ministry will continue to improve the education ecosystem from time to time," she said.
