SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is urged to take strict action, including removing the minister who caused a commotion at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from his post.

Umno Youth chief Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh said it was because no individual stands above the law, regardless of their position.

"I urge the prime minister to take action against this minister's inappropriate behaviour.

"The individual should be removed from his minister post," he said in a statement on Facebook.

The media previously reported that an individual who is allegedly a minister went into the KLIA international arrival hall to free a Chinese visitor arrested by the Immigration Department.

The incident on Thursday saw the minister enter the arrival hall without applying for a safety pass, which he was reported doing to 'save' a Chinese citizen who was banned entry into the country at the airport.

Akmal stated that the minister's actions were unacceptable to Malaysians.

"Being a minister does not mean that you can do anything you want; being a minister means you work hard and implement the people's trust, not the other way around," he said.
