SHAH ALAM - MCA's Nicole Wong Siaw Ting has graduated from a master's programme, showcasing her dedication and resilience of women in politics.

In an Instagram post, Wong expressed her gratitude for being given the opportunity to participate in the International Master's Programme in Public Administration (IMPA-FL) at Tsinghua University's School of Public Administration, even amidst the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I completed my studies last year and also took part in the online convocation ceremony.

“Tsinghua University is a prestigious and renowned global institution.

“I feel proud and privileged to be part of this university’s programme. I finally had the chance to attend the actual convocation ceremony at the Tsinghua University campus.

“I experienced the beauty of the university campus and had the opportunity to meet classmates from various countries, who have learned and exchanged views.

“We will all bring the knowledge we acquired from the university back to our respective fields and make contributions to society,” she said in her post.

Expressing her gratitude, Wong thanked the Embassy of China in Malaysia, China Foundation for Peace and Development and Tanoto Foundation for their unwavering support, cooperation, and assistance throughout my journey.

During the 15th general election (GE15), Wong contested the Tebrau seat and gave up her senatorship on November 30 2022 to contest in GE15.

She is also the first woman national MCA youth chief which made history in 2018.
