Unanswered calls worried friend, man found dead in rental room
AMPANG JAYA - The mystery behind a series of unanswered calls revealed that a man had died in his rental room in Taman Muda, here, on Thursday.
Ampang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said in the 8.30am incident, the victim had gone to his friend's rental room; however, there was no response.
"The victim’s friend found the room from inside before contacting the fire department to break the locked door.
"The victim was found unconscious lying down," he said in a statement on Thursday.
He said the body was brought to Ampang Hospital for an autopsy.
"Early investigations on the victim’s body found no criminal elements.
"Further investigations are underway," he said.
The case was classified as a sudden death report (SDR).
