Penang DAP warns against fake candidate lists for State Election

GEORGETOWN - Penang DAP urges its members, supporters, and voters to be cautious of any dissemination of state election candidate lists that do not originate from a reliable source.
Its chairman Chow Kon Yeow clarified that the viral issue circulating on social media was a hoax.
He said that only the Central Executive Committee (CEC) has the authority to officially announce the final list of candidates.
Chow confirmed that he has concluded all interviews with the party's incumbents for the state seats, in preparation for the upcoming elections.
He said that a panel consisting of five members, including himself, State Deputy Chairman P. Ramasamy, and Deputy Chairmen Jagdeep Singh Deo, Zairil Khir Johari, and State Secretary Lim Hui Ying, conducted the interviews.
Following the interview session, the panel will convene to discuss and make decisions regarding potential candidates to represent DAP and Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Penang state election.
"The finalised list will be presented to the DAP CEC for further consideration and finalisation," he added.
