Perak police CID office catches fire

IPOH – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) operations office of the Perak Police Contingent Headquarters catches fire earlier today.
State Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said they received a distress call on the incident at 3.14pm.
As the team arrived at the scene, they discovered that the fire broke out on the second floor of the building which razed 40 per cent of the office.
"Operation to extinguish the fire was carried out with the help of the Pekan Baru Volunteer Fire Brigade," he said in a statement, today.
Meanwhile, Perak police chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said no casualties or serious injuries were reported.
"Not serious and (the fire) has been put out,” he said.
