Muda to contest solo in state elections

SHAH ALAM - Muda will go solo this upcoming state elections, it said today after weeks of waiting for a reply from the ruling Pakatan Harapan on seat negotiations.

The party led by Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman had also applied to be a member of the coalition after the Nov 2022 polls but is has yet receive any reply.

Today in a press conference, the party said it has decided to contest solo.

"Muda believes that the main objective is to bring new politics and reject old politics," it said.

It further said the party will give its full commitment in the state election.

In a tweet, Syed Saddiq said that he entered into politics to clean up politics, "even though I am threatened, pressured, and challenged".

"But nothing will stop me from pursuing what I beleive in.

"Until now, we still haven't seen the new politics that we desire."

The 30-year old said that he will share tonight on reasons for Muda to contest in the elections.
