'DAP will hold on to Zahid's promise' - Anthony Loke
PUTRAJAYA – Despite MCA's advice not to support DAP in the next state election, the party will hold on to the promise made by Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Its Secretary General Anthony Loke Siew Fook stated that Zahid already made a firm commitment on the matter.
"We take the commitment from the BN Chairman himself, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, so we don't take other views into account," he told reporters after officiating the Driving Institute Employers Association (PIM)'s 3rd Annual General Meeting here on Monday.
He made the remark in response to MCA Youth Secretary General Danial Wa Wai How's appeal for the party not to support DAP in the state elections
According to Anthony, Wai How's comment does not represent BN.
"That's just MCA Youth," he said.
