SHAH ALAM - MCA Youth urge the party to boycott the state polls in six states by not fielding any candidates.

Its secretary general, Daniel Wa, suggests that MCA not help any candidates who were arrogant after BN forged cooperation with DAP.

He added that some leaders were arrogant and proud and were DAP’s spokespersons, as if they only needed DAP as friend.

"MCA has always been loyal to the principles and spirit of BN. MCA has stayed with BN during good and hard times, even though many component parties have left the coalition during difficult times.

"Now it has a new friend, DAP. They are proud and do not need MCA and MIC now, to the extent of being called 'biawak hidup' which means that MCA and MIC have taken advantage of Umno and have caused problems for the Malay party," he said in a statement today.

Previously, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Lokman Adam, in an interview with a news portal, called MCA and MIC 'biawak hidup' and said that Umno has been lifting those parties under BN even though both parties have failed to get Chinese and Malay support for BN.

Wa hope the MCA grassroot leadership can thoroughly consider the suggestion raised by MCA Youth.

"This is to teach a lesson for those who are arrogant and self-consumed people," he said.
