SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's move in jokingly asking for a female student's phone number in a recent programme has been deemed inpropriate.

According to Parti Ikatan Muda Malaysia Deputy President, Amira Aisya Abd Aziz, the Prime Minister's joke can be described as disrespecting women.

"Unfortunately, many grown men consider things like this as a joke.

"Anwar needs to publicly apologize for this to set a good example for the boys.

"If Anwar was impressed with her attitude, just comment on that without making the other comment" Amira tweeted on Sunday, while adding that women never consider such things as a joke.
