Decomposing body of a sexagenarian found in living room
SHAH ALAM - A woman in her 60s was found dead and almost in a decomposed state in the living room of her house in Shah Alam, here, today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said the department received a distress call from the police on the incident at 2.05pm and firemen from the Kota Anggerik fire station were deployed to the scene.
"The police received the call first from the neighbour, and the police called us to the scene for our help.
"The team reached the location and attempted to unlock the house door with special equipment.
"Once the door was successfully opened, the victim was found in almost a decomposed state lying on her back in the living room.
Ehsan said the victim is believed to be living alone in the house, and the case was handed over to the police for further action.
