KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Amanah chairman Khalid Abdul Samad leaves it to BN to decide the Menteri Besar candidate if the unity government is given the mandate to lead the state in the election soon.

He said it was the right action when BN was appointed chief after forming the coalition with Pakatan Harapan (PH) to compete against Pas in the upcoming elections.

“For the Kelantan election, BN will lead it in its entirety despite us contending in several state assembly areas.

“However, all matters would be discussed later,” he said in a press conference in the Kelantan Amanah Office here on Saturday.

He said the BN and PH cooperation and discussions went smoothly when all parties no longer behaved like the ‘big brother’.

Khalid said Amanah in this election targets to win at least four of the 14 seats allocated to PH.

He said the target was achievable if the party machinery committed in the state polls.

The Amanah Communications director admitted Kelantan was difficult to penetrate as the public had become comfortable with Pas.

“However, it did not threaten PH and BN’s spirit to storm the state by adding more opposition representatives in the state assembly,” he said.
