Anwar six-state tour shows fear of PN's 'tsunami' - Amar
HAZELEN LIANA KAMARUDINKOTA BHARU - Pas vice president Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah perceives the action of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visiting all the six states that will face elections shows the Unity Government's fear of the growing 'tsunami' of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Amar said that this was because PN’s victory could undermine the position of the Unity Government after the polls.
"I am confident that the political landscape of the country will change in the future if PN wins all six states and it becomes a demand of the people's distrust of the Unity Government.
"This is what the government is most afraid of today. That is why he (the Prime Minister) went to all the states and it gives a sign of their concern and fear with the current developments," he said while speaking at the Casual Chat Event with Tan Sri Noh Omar in conjunction with the Kelantan Maju Rakyat Sejahtera Carnival at Dataran Warisan, Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium on Thursday night.
Therefore, Amar said that PN needed to defend the three existing states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah and at the same time, seize Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
He said that if PN was only able to defend the three existing states, Pakatan Harapan (PH) would have an advantage and a moral victory.
