KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Pas has submitted over 100 names to be appointed as candidates for the top leadership positions in the upcoming state election.

Pas state secretary, Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said that the list includes both incumbents who won seats in the 14th general election (GE14) and new names.

"Each State Assembly has submitted three to five names as potential candidates for the people's representatives.

"The selection process involves research and voting by grassroots members," he explained during a press conference at his office on Wednesday.

He also revealed that the majority of the candidates are individuals with clean records who can bring success to the party.

"All candidates undergo a thorough vetting process by the Syura Ulamak Council before they are officially announced as valid candidates for the elections.

"This is a standard practice for Pas in every election," Roslan added.

On the composition of the candidate list, Roslan revealed that 30 per cent of the candidates for the state polls will be new faces, including professionals and female candidates from various backgrounds.
