Acer introduces business-grade desktops, laptops, monitors

KUALA LUMPUR - Acer Malaysia has introduced a series of business-grade products, including laptops, desktops, an all-in-one (AIO) desktop and monitors.

This latest range of refreshed products includes the TravelMate and Veriton devices, which now come incorporated with improved features designed with sustainability to assist corporations and businesses in fulfilling their commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts.

During today’s "Reinspire the future with Acer” event, Acer Malaysia’s products, sales and marketing general manager, Chan Weng Hong, said the company believes that choosing green is only possible when they make green products accessible without compromising user experience, stability and durability.

"We also incorporated recycled materials, which generally cost more and require advanced technology to deliver the same performance as regular materials.

"In walking the talk on sustainability, we are subsidising some of the production cost to make green devices, such as the ones we are launching today, accessible,” he said.

Chan said that apart from good and reliable performance, the new devices include robust features to protect an organisation’s data.

The Acer TravelMate and Veriton are powered by the latest 13th Generation (Gen) Intel Core processor, with 4GB or 8GB RAM and a 256GB or 512GB solid-state drive (SSD) to enable fast loading speeds.

These devices have high upgradability to enable companies to enhance performance and extend the lifespan of the devices without the necessity of a full replacement, resulting in cost savings and reduced electronic waste.

The Acer TravelMate laptops start from RM3,249, while the 360-degree Acer TravelMate Spin P4 convertible laptop with flappable hinges for additional flexibility to share content is priced at RM5,699.

The price for the TravelMate P6, which comes with a 14-inch OLED display, is RM6,899.

In addition, Acer Veriton desktop prices start from RM2,749, while the Veriton Vero AIO desktop that comes with a 23.8-inch wide FHD display is priced at RM4,699, and the Veriton Vero mini is priced at RM3,499.

Acer also announced the arrival of the Aspire Vero 14 laptop and Vero CB1 monitors in Malaysia.

The Aspire Vero 14 is equipped with a 14-inch FHD IPS display and offers a choice between 8GB or 16GB of RAM, while ensuring fast loading times with a 512GB SSD, and is powered by up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.

Pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student edition, the Acer Aspire Vero 14 retails from RM2,599 and is available immediately at Acer eStore and Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada.

In conjunction with the arrival of the Aspire Vero 14, Acer Malaysia also announced a Trade-in and Go Green Programme to encourage users to switch to a green laptop and reduce their carbon footprint.

"From now until Sept 30, 2023, customers can trade in their old devices for up to RM500 cash rebate for the purchase of an Aspire Vero 14. Eligible devices under Programme include working and non-functioning tablets, laptops, desktops and AIOs,” it said in a statement.

Available immediately at any Acer authorised reseller, Acer eStore and Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada, the Acer Vero CB241Y, CB271 and CB271U monitors are priced at RM749, RM879 and RM1099, respectively.

Meanwhile, Acer also unveiled two impressive additions to their workstation and server lineup -- the Altos P130 F9 Workstation and Altos BrainSphereTM R360 F5.
