No stop in Malaysia, but Singapore gets three days of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

Swifties, are you ready for Taylor Swift to bring her Eras Tour to this side of the world?

International tour dates for the Eras Tour have been announced but unfortunately, the "Cruel Summer" singer won't be making a stop in Malaysia. She will, however, be performing three shows in Singapore.

The tour dates were announced on her Instagram post last night.

"Excuse me, hi, I have something to say. I can’t wait to see so many of you on the Eras Tour next year on these new international dates!

"Visit TaylorSwift.com/tour for more information on your registrations, pre-sales, and on-sales!," Swift wrote in the caption.

The Lion City will be the only stop in Southeast Asia, taking place over three nights from March 2 until March 4 at the Singapore National Stadium.

All swifties in Singapore or Southeast Asia can buy tickets, pre-sales will start on Wednesday (July 5) at 12pm for UOB cardholders. After that, general ticket sales will launch on Friday (July 7) at 12pm.

This exciting news was also announced by Singapore Culture, Community, and Youth Minister Edwin Tong via a Facebook reel on Tuesday (June 20).

"Hey Swifties, some great news just dropped on us. Taylor Swift will be performing right here (Singapore), for three nights in March.

"Besides Japan, Taylor will only be in Singapore, special three nights," Edwin said in a statement.

Singapore appears to be the only other Asian stop aside from Tokyo, Japan, which will host a staggering four shows.

The news of Swift's three-day concert in Singapore comes hot on the heels of Coldplay's announcement to add a sixth show there, triggering a chain of mixed reactions from Malaysian fans who have been requesting a second date from the British band.

Non-profit group Arts, Live Festival, and Events Association (Alife Malaysia) in a posting said agitations from political groups may have put off artistes from staging shows here.
