SHAH ALAM - Permatang Pauh Angkatan Muda Keadilan chief Fahmi Zainol has refuted claims that PKR offered the position of deputy president to former Umno Youth chief, Khairy Jamaluddin.

In a tweet on Monday, Fahmi dismissed the circulating letter, highlighting the presence of numerous scam syndicates in the digital age employing various tactics to garner public attention.

"There are a multitude of modern scams," he said on his Twitter.

He was referring to an "official" letter widely shared on social media.

The letter, purportedly issued by the PKR secretary-general's office on Monday, extended an invitation to the former health minister to join PKR and assume the role of deputy president through appointment.

The letter requested Khairy to respond within seven days from its release date.
