GEORGETOWN - The seat distribution among Perikatan Nasional (PN) component parties to face the state elections in six states is almost 99 percent complete.

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that all issues related to seat distribution between component parties will be finalised this Wednesday.

"I just want to say that we have almost finished the seat distribution. It is 99 per cent complete. This June 22, we will hold a meeting to finalise it.

"If you wanted to ask is everyone satisfied, everyone will say that they are not satisfied, Is Pas satisfied? Not satisfied, Bersatu is far from satisfied, Gerakan is indeed unsatisfied.

"So who is satisfied? Why are you not satisfied? Everyone wants a seat t that they can win, everyone wants to go there. Of course, two or three people are not satisfied. Of course, we don't want to give Pas a half, us a half. Only one is possible," he said at the Penang PN Machinery Convention and Launch on Saturday.

Also present were Penang PN chairman Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai and several Penang PN leaders.

Six states, namely Selangor, Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan and Penang are expected to hold an election simultaneously even though their state legislative assembly dissolution dates are different.

So far, only three states have announced the date of dissolution, namely Kelantan which isJune 22, Penang June 28 and Negeri Sembilan June 30.

In the meantime, Muhyiddin said that the negotiation of seat distributions went well despite differences in opinion.

"That is a normal process in negotiations. There are differences in opinion. However, the spirit of negotiation between PN component parties is at its best. Each party is able to tolerate each other.

"PN's spirit is extraordinary. When we negotiated more or less, it didn't matter, if Pas wins we win, Gerakan wins we win, Bersatu win we win, all these are PN wins.

"We need to be united full on. It's not a matter of who wants to compete. Whoever wants to, go ahead. Maybe today is not your day, maybe tomorrow is no matter who it is (candidate)," he said.

Muhyiddin who is also Pagoh Member of Parliament (MP) said that the enthusiasm of voters especially the Malays to support PN in the state election at the moment is also at an extraordinary level.

''The desire of Malays based on our research in Selangor or throughout the country is 80 per cent rooting for PN.

"Based on our study in Selangor, in Penang we did not survey, 89 per cent of Malay voters (in Selangor) will go out to vote. Chinese, we have no idea,'' he said.
