MIROS reminds parents to check eligibility for MyCRS programme
SHAH ALAM - The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) reminds parents to check for eligibility for the Keluarga Malaysia child seat subsidy programme (MyCRS).
Parents can check their eligibility on the MyCRS MIROS website, www.mycrs.gov.my, starting June 19 until September 30, 2023.
MyCRS is a seat purchase incentive programme for child safety for the B40 and M40 groups in order to improve the safety of children in vehicles with the use of child safety seats.
Eligibility criteria are that the incentive recipients are from B40 and M40 household income categories; they have children who are less than 12 years old; and they are citizens residing in Malaysia.
The maximum amount of incentives given under this programme is up to RM150, while those priced at RM150 and below can be purchased for free.
Meanwhile, for car seats priced above RM150, an additional payment must be made by the recipient of the incentive.
Individuals who have previously applied for MyCRS 2022 can check again for eligibility starting June 19, while individuals who have never applied can make a new application from July 1 until July 14.
To make a redemption, parents need to bring a copy of the applicant's MyKad, MyKid/Birth Certificate for children less than 12 years old, or pregnant mother's health record book or pink book.
