Amanah says no need to entertain Sanusi's sarcasm
LUMUT - Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) has decided not to entertain Perikatan Nasional (PN) election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's sarcasm.
Its deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said the issue should not be discussed further as it was the leader's tactic to approach the people.
"Sometimes when we are the minister, we have to be like the people, so what's inappropriate about it? "Instead of just sitting in the office drafting policies and finishing paperwork, we sometimes have to meet the people on the field.
"Sometimes farmers and people from rural areas want to meet us, so we mingle with them; there is nothing wrong with it.
"After all, he (Sanusi) had done it more. So we don't have to entertain such matters," he said when visiting a cooking oil manufacturer in Manjung, here, today.
On Friday, the media reported that Sanusi, who is also Kedah Menteri Besar, had criticised the actions of a minister riding a cow and becoming a laughstock.
He also linked the minister's action with the government's performance, which he claimed was very disappointing.
