Finas Industrial Training principal assistant director, Radzuan Asan@Hassan said the programme is one of the approaches by Finas to drive the development of the national creative content industry through FINAS’s Creative Content Human Capital Development Grant programme.
"Twenty-five participants from various levels have taken part in the Basic Stunt Acting and Motivation Course Series 1.
"Each association received allocation from Finas to handle programme to raise the level of professionalism and human capital of members by attending the planned courses on human capital development,” he said at the closing of the course here last night.
The week-long programme involved participants aged 18 to 40.
Meanwhile, Promasta executive advisor and founder, Yank@ Yusof Mohamed Kassim or better known as Yank Kassim said the organisation received more than 85 applications to join the course but only 25 candidates were shortlisted.
"Each application we received was filtered to ensure those attending are really qualified for the basic course as all aspects were taken into consideration especially the health of participants.
"We later screeen them to 12 people who will be further trained as supporting stunt actors in future,” he said.
He said Promasta will be organising various training for those who are interested in the field and will organise a variety of training for anyone interested in the field of stunts.
"Our target is to be able to produce talent who can make a name for themselves abroad and the individuals can then give guidance to budding local talents.
"In addition, it can also open the public's eyes about stunts and how to work safely," he said - BERNAMA
