Maulizan tight-lipped on his next move

JOHOR BAHRU - Former Tebrau Division Umno Chief Datuk Maulizan Bujang did not deny or confirm that he is one of the three Umno 'warlords' who will join Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Maulizan remained tight-lipped on him joining any political party

"I don't want to comment anything yett, et time decide," he said when contacted to comment on rumors that he was among some former Umno leaders in Johor who would join PN.

Maulizan, who is also a former Exco of the state government, said that at this time he wanted to rest and concentrate on his family.

Asked if he had ever been contacted or approached by the PN leadership, he admitted in having a good relationship with PN leaders

"I do have a good relationship with my fellow leaders. I am friends with them until now," he admitted

Maulizan, who was suspended by Umno for six years, said that the party's leaders had now 'lost their way' from the original struggle.

Maulizan however admitted that he never blamed the party for the suspension of his membership.

"The party is not at fault, it's just that the leaders who steer the party have also steered away from the party's original struggle," he said.

Maulizan also added that he was never called to the party's disciplinary committee or given the opportunity to defend himself regarding his suspension.
