PUTRAJAYA - Aircraft operators are reminded to follow regulations and instructions to ensure safety of the general public.

Chief Executive Officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) Captain Norazman Mahmud said action will be taken against those who fail to comply with regulations.

"CAAM has initiated a probe into the operation of a G2CA-Cabri private helicopter that was reported to have landed in Shah Alam, Selangor on April 17th," he stated in a statement, today.

The investigation is being conducted according to the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016 and the Civil Aviation Directives (CADs), he said.

Recently, a video clip of a helicopter landing believed to have drop off a student from a private school in Setia Eco Park, Setia Alam, Selangor, went viral.

The clip showed the helicopter landed in an open area near a residential spot in Setia Alam and a student walked away from the aircraft with the pilot standing by the side.

It is understood that this is the second time the helicopter landed in that area but residents did not record the previous incident.
