SEPANG - A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a four-vehicle accident along Jalan Desa Pinggiran Putra, triggered by an obstructing pig carcass on the road.

Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusoff said the accident took place at 6.47am, earlier today.

"The investigation revealed that a Honda City, driven by a 57-year-old man from Desa Pinggiran Putra, collided with a pig carcass in the middle of the road while heading towards Alamanda.

"As a result, the victim lost control of the vehicle and collided with three other vehicles, including a motorcycle that was parked on the shoulder of the road," he said in a statement today.

Wan Kamarul Azran further explained that one of the three vehicles on the roadside initially struck the pig carcass.

"The motorcyclist, who was hit by the Honda City, sustained minor injuries to his right hand and left leg and received treatment at Putrajaya Hospital.

"Fortunately, the other three drivers involved did not suffer any injuries," he confirmed.

"The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (Rule 10 LN 166/59)," Wan Kamarul Azran added.
