Politically Frank: Sick of Umno's corruption? Join PN, Bersatu's Rahim Thamby tells Umno members
SHAH ALAM - Former Melaka chief minister Tan Sri Rahim Thamby Chik believes that joining Perikatan Nasional (PN) is a preferable option for disgruntled Umno members.
He cited the numerous problems within Umno, especially on corruption and the involvement of certain leaders in such practices.
“PN seems to be a better party, a cleaner party and we are ready to continue the struggle of Umno.
“So we would like to invite Umno members who are not happy with their leadership to migrate to PN at any time," he told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank.
Rahim, the Bersatu information committee member said it was important for parties with principle leaders facing issues should temporarily step aside from their positions within the party.
“They are not doing that and that will destroy the struggle and idealism of the party.
“You know we will not practice this kind of attitude or behaviour in PN. So PN will definitely be a better and cleaner party,” said the former Umno strongman.
