Annuar failed to capture Kelantan twice when was in BN - Kelantan Umno

KOTA BHARU - Kelantan Umno described Tan Sri Annuar Musa as 'forgetful' as he once failed to help the party capture Kelantan from Pas when he was Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman from 1994 to 2001.

State's information chief Datuk Zawawi Othman said what is even more saddening is that he failed twice in a row when he was given the mandate to lead the party's leadership in the state.

"He also has to take responsibility for this failure.

"Perhaps Pas thought Annuar joining them would strengthen the party to shadow people's dissatisfaction over the state's water supply issue, land and nepotism in appointments to government positions," he said in a statement today.

This was in response to Annuar who ridiculed Umno which has failed to wrest Kelantan back after trying for 34 years.

Zawawi said Annuar's move to join Pas and Perikatan Nasional (PN) was based on the influence of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's order as he has always prioritised him over the party previously.

"Insya-Allah, in the upcoming state election, the Unity Government will give its best offer to voters in Kelantan to develop the state in terms of basic facilities and the socioeconomics of the people.

"We will leave it to God to determine the right time for us to govern Kelantan," he said.
