Johor Sultan is the owner of 'FF1' number plate, worth RM1.2 mil
SHAH ALAM - Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar is the owner of the special 'FF1' number plate worth RM1.2 million.
This was revealed on Transport Minister Anthony Loke's Facebook page yesterday.
It is known that the amount paid was the highest value the government had ever collected for a vehicle number plate.
"Earlier this morning, I had an audience with Sultan Ibrahim to symbolically present the 'FF1' number plate to His Majesty, who is now the owner of the unique number plate.
"His Majesty has agreed to pay RM1.2 million for the special number. For the record, RM1.2 million is the highest value the government has ever collected so far for the registration of one number plate," he said.
In 2016, Sultan Ibrahim reportedly won the 'F1' number plate with the highest bid value of RM836,660 for the new number plate series for Putrajaya.
In August of the same year, His Majesty won the 'V1' number plate with a value of RM989,780.
Commenting further, Anthony said that with the payment received, the total revenue collected for the 'FF' plate number series was RM35.4 million.
