KUALA LUMPUR - Even when one Najib is jailed, another three will appear in Dewan Merdeka, said Umno president Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi.
Zahid expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the presence of the former Prime Minister’s three children at the 2023 Umno General Assembly.
Najib’s children, who were in attendance, were Nooryana Najwa Najib, Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib, and also Datuk Mohd Nazifuddin Najib.
Najib, who is also the former Umno President, was sentenced to 12 years in prison and fined RM210 million on seven charges of breach of trust, abuse of position, and money laundering of SRC funds.
Ahmad Zahid added that not only Najib’s children will continue the struggle to defend him but also party members.
"God willing, this is the commitment of the Supreme Council, which has received a mandate from friends in the division and branches, that we will continue to defend Najib Razak so that he is given justice," he said.
At the same time, he also shared his experience when he visited Najib in Kajang prison for two hours.
