SHAH ALAM - A woman and her family were left traumatised upon finding a three-centimetre (cm) rusty wire in their meal from a Japanese restaurant.

Facebook user Michelle Wong shared a post on Facebook which stated her niece and her two-year-old daughter nearly choked and suffered anxiety from the event.

“Upon biting into the food, my niece felt something hard and managed to spit it out and there was a rusty wire about three cm in length in one of the Takoyaki.

“Luckily, my daughter did not immediately put the food in her mouth as she usually does.

Wong said that her niece and daughter felt disturbed to the point that they did not want to eat their lunch.

She showed the rusty wire in a short five-second video and posted images of the wire to show its length along with the packaging and order receipt.

Michelle had attempted to contact the outlet to lodge a complaint but failed.

She urged the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry and the state health department to look into the matter.
