Man arrested for breaking into workshop

SEREMBAN - Police have arrested a man suspected to be involved in a break in at a workshop in Jalan Tampin here on Wednesday.

Seremban district police chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe said the incident was suspected to involve three suspects who stole vehicle parts on the premises.

"Acting based on the information a team from the Senawang Police Station had successfully arrested a 38-year-old suspect and seized a lorry containing the vehicle parts.

"The man had two prior criminal records and was remanded for five days until Monday," he said in a statement on Friday.

He said the efforts of tracking down the other two individuals suspected of being involved were underway and the case is investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

"The public with any information on the case are asked to report it at the nearest police station or contact the case investigation officer Seargant Norseli Ibrahim at 019-3020511," he said.
