SHAH ALAM - The seat allocation discussions between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the upcoming state polls are currently in progress.

Hulu Langat MP Mohd Sany Hamzan confirmed that the seats won by each coalition (BN and PH) will be contested as they stand, indicating that no major changes are expected in terms of seat allocations.

“What I can say is that, as of today (the agreement is) the seats won by Pakatan Harapan will be contested by parties within PH.

“Meanwhile, the seats won by Barisan Nasional will be contested by representatives or candidates from BN itself,” he told Sinar Daily’s Politically Frank.

Given that PH has successfully held the Selangor Menteri Besar position for two terms, PH remains resolute in maintaining its current Menteri Besar seat.

Sany said it is not neccessary to replace the Menteri Besar with a candidate from another party.

“I don’t see any issue with maintaining the current Menteri Besar.

“We have witnessed significant progress, numerous reforms, and various initiatives and assistance provided to the entire community and residents in Selangor.

“Specifically, in Selangor, we have the Selangor Cares commitment programme.

“We have approximately 46 programmes that have been initiated by the Menteri Besar from Pakatan Harapan for the people in Selangor.
