Selangor polls: Nego on remaining seven seats to be completed next week
SHAH ALAM - The negotiation process for the remaining seven seats of the Selangor state assembly is expected to be finalised by next week, said Selangor Pakatan Harapan (PH) election director Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri.
Yahaya, the PKR Leadership Council member further said negotiations between PH and Barisan Nasional (BN), the coalition partners in Unity Government is still in progress.
"We first negotiated with parties within PH in which the process began few months ago.
"The outcome was then brought to the state level so when PH and BN claim a seat, there will be an overlap and the state negotiation team could resolve any overlap.
"That is why negotiations for seven seats hasn't concluded," he told Sinar today.
Last Sunday, Selangor PH chairman and Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said PH and BN had reached an agreement for a total of 49 seats or 83 per cent and the last seven seats were still under discussion.
