Three teens arrested for attacking homeless man in Klang

KLANG - Three 16-year-old teenage boys who had allegedly attacked a homeless man were arrested on Monday.

South Klang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said the arrest was made at about 3am by a team from the Gangster, Gambling and Crime Investigation Division (D7) of the South Klang District Police Headquarters (IPD).

He said further investigations found that one of the suspects had two previous criminal records.

"The police also seized three mobile phones and a Proton Wira car for further investigation.

"Efforts to locate another suspect are still underway," he said in a statement on Monday.

Cha said the initial investigation found that there were three separate incidents involving three different victims, and efforts were intensified to trace the victims involved.

He said the three teenagers are now remanded for three days until Wednesday for investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code.

"The investigation papers will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor in the near future for further instructions. People with information can contact the Klang Selatan police headquarters at 03-33762222 or any nearby police station," he said.
