Channel NewsAsia cameraman killed in crash on KL-Karak highway
SHAH ALAM: Channel NewsAsia (CNA) cameraman Khairul Azman Zainuddin tragically lost his life in an accident at Km43 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak highway, today. Bentong district police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the accident took place as the 45-year-old victim was traveling from Bentong to Kuala Lumpur. He unfortunately lost control of his vehicle and hit a road divider.
"The impact threw him to the opposite side of the road where he collided with an oncoming motorcycle which was heading towards Bentong at the time of the accident.
"Khairul Azman was pronounced dead on the spot while the other motorcyclist and his pillion rider only sustained minor injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at Bentong Hospital," he said.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Earlier, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil also expressed his condolences in a Twitter post.
"Condolences to the family of the late Khairul Azman Zainuddin, Channel News Asia, who passed away earlier.
"May the family stay strong during these difficult times," he added.
