Woman arrested on the spot for stealing kid's necklace
SHAH ALAM - A woman has been caught red-handed stealing a kid's necklace at the Karnival Jom Heboh held at Stadium Seksyen 13, here.
Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the 5:40pm video recording showed the suspect using a certain object to cut, removing the necklace that belonged to a four-year-old girl.
"The girl's aunt recorded the suspect's action.
"The 35-year-old local female suspect was immediately arrested at the scene of the incident, as seen in the recording," he said in a statement today.
He added that a police report had been lodged at 8.09pm on the same day.
He said the suspect had six past criminal records for theft and she was remanded for three days until next Tuesday for investigation under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
