Netizens in a frenzy over video of Syed Mokhtar kissing PM’s hand

SHAH ALAM – A video circulating on social media portraying Yayasan Albukhary Chairman Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Albukhary kissing the hand of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim twice in a ceremony ignites netizen frenzy since last night.
Through a TikTok video uploaded by @Wadahdaily, the famous tycoon seemed friendly with Anwar and his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The 50-minute video also received 8,692 likes with 1,082 comments on TikTok.
For Ramosha, the meeting showed the closeness between the Prime Minister and the famous billionaire.
"Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar considers the Prime Minister like a brother based on his speech," she said.
In the meantime, Kriszh also praised the pleasantness shown by the billionaire who did not seem awkward among leaders.
"For the first time I saw Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar looking friendly and happy with government leaders," he said.
On Friday, Syed Mokhtar revealed in an event that Anwar was like an 'older brother' to him because of the closeness of their relationship.
The businessman who is one of the richest individuals in Malaysia said that Anwar had been an older brother to him for many years and helped solve various issues to make Malaysia a better place to live.
