SHAH ALAM - Higher learning institutions are the main source for producing internationally acclaimed athletes, said Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Adam Adli Abd Halim.

Citing an example, he said 120 athletes competing in the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia are IPT students.

"65 per cent of them (120 athletes) are new athletes who have never participated in the SEA Games before. IPT serves as a platform for producing many athletes," he said.

He said this during the Student Dialogue Programme held at the Dewan Senat Unisel, Kampus Bestari Jaya, today.

Adam Adli was the second guest after Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman in the programme hosted by Syuhaida Ariffin.
