SABAK BERNAM - The Cabinet has never discussed or offered Pas to join the Unity Government.

Local Government Development (KPKT) Minister Nga Kor Ming said the statemenet issued by Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang is false.

"I can confirm that the Cabinet has never discussed about it and no senior government leader has ever made an offer for Pas to join (the unity government)," he said.

He said this in a press conference after a work visit at the Sekinchan Public Market, here, today.

Nga, who is also DAP vice chairman, said the matter was previously denied by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his two deputy ministers Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

"I don't know where Hadi got this fairy tale (the offer) from?" he said.

Previously, it was reported that Hadi said some parties had contacted him to invite Pas to join the unity government.

He claimed that the offer was made because Pakatan Harapan (PH) especially PKR realised that its position was not stable with the total Malay seats of the party not being close to that of Pas.
