JOHOR BAHRU - Johor Police have assured that they will take strict action if the 'Gang Bang JB Party' event proceeded as advertised on social media.

Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the police are currently conducting intelligence work to confirm the identity of those involved in organising the immoral event.

"They are intentionally creating problems by organising an event no one would do.. so we will take strict action.

"We have conducted intelligence work and receive cooperation from people who provided informations to ensure the party can be stopped. Strict action can be taken because the event is considered an offence that can threaten public order," he said.

He said this in a press conference in conjunction with the state's police chief's Monthly Assembly for May 2023 at the Johor Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) today.

Last week, an invitation card for the 'Gang Bang JB Party' event, believed to be a wild sex party, had circulated on Twitter where the party was expected to be held from 4pm to 9pm on June 20th.

Commenting on the possibility of the organiser setting a different date for the event, Kamarul asked the public who had information regarding the matter to inform the police about it.

"The public with information related to this matter can hopefully continue providing us with information," he said.
