Water supply disruption affecting 9,000 Sada user accounts

ALOR SETAR - About 9,000 Syarikat Air Darul Aman (Sada) user accounts in three districts in Kedah will experience water supply disruption due to cleaning of sediments of water tanks this Wednesday.

Its Corporate Communications and Public Relations Divisio in a statement said the districts involved are Pendang, Yan and some parts of Kota Setar.

Consumers in the affected areas are asked to be prepared as the disruption will begin at 9am until the cleaning works and distribution of water supply were completed.

"There will be water supply disruptions in some areas as the operation at Jenun Baru Water Treatment Plant are reduced to make way for cleaning works of accumulated sediment in tank number four.

"The maintenance is scheduled on May 31 whereby the disruption will begin at 9am with 9,000 Sada account users in three districts in the state will be affected," the statement read.

Among the affected areas were the Petronas fertiliser factory, Nafas factory, Kampung Bukit Besar, Kampung Tualang, Yan Besar, Yan Kecil, Kota Sarang Semut, Jalan Batas Paip and the surrounding areas.

Affected consumers are advised to prepare in advance by storing water and using it wisely.
