People have not forgotten Anwar's promise to reduce petrol prices, says Wan Saiful

SHAH ALAM - The public has not forgotten Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's promise to reduce petrol prices when he was the opposition leader, said Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan.

He said the government seems indifferent to the voices of the people, the rising cost of living, an unstable economy.

" The people have not forgotten the promise to reduce petrol prices by RM1.50. Let's rise this in the upcoming State Election.

"In Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, let's try a switch (the state govt)," he said in a statement on Thursday.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reforms), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said responded to a question from Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari on the status of investigation into gambling fund contributions allegations.

On Dec last year, Anwar claimed that a portion of the funding for PN during the election came from gambling companies involved in special gambling draws.

"Five months have passed, and this government has created a negative image and perception of PN," he said, adding that the PH-BN government is trying to deny the rising wave of the people in the last general elections.
