'I have no problems with Anwar, waiting to meet him' Sanusi says

ALOR SETAR - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor has requested to hold a meeting with the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to present Kedah's 'wishlist'.

He said thw wishlist is as stated in the Federal Constitution involving the central government's affairs with the state government.

Sanusi added that the state government has so far submitted three requests to set a date for the meeting but are yet to receive any respond.

"I have no problem with Anwar. I sent a letter as usual but I can't get a date yet (until now)," he told Sinar Harian on Thursday.

Sanusi said it is not unusual as he had send a letter when former Prime Ministers Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob were running the government.

"The meeting is to have briefings on several high-impact projects in the state, among which is Kedah Aerotropolis.

"I still hope Anwar is open to giving me a date," he said.

Sanusi said the briefing session was link to Kedah Aerotropolis and will be presented by technical experts led by a the board of directors who is also the KXP AirportCity Holdings Technical Committee chairman Tan Sri Dr Ir Jamilus Hussein.

"The one who wants to give the briefing is not me, the technical department under Tan Sri Ir Dr Jamilus, he is one of the founders who built KLIA. We bring experts, not mediocres.

"If you asked me, maybe I don't know the technical aspects. I only know the importance of establishing Kedah Aerotropolis, how and when to do it, that's my part," he added.

Sanusi hoped that Anwar would take some time to listen to the explanation on the mega project that was launched since Kedah was administered by Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, before it was rebranded to Kedah Aerotropolis.

In the meantime, Sanusi refuted Anwar's claim of him as 'arrogant and only good at being flamboyant as compared to other Pas Menteri Besar.
