Melaka Pas ready to accept assemblymen from other parties

MELAKA - Pas Melaka welcomes and is open to accept anyone who wants to join the party including the assemblyman who had claimed to want to join Pas.

Its secretary Asri Shaik Abdul Aziz said the party closely follows news related to the assemblyman who wished to join Pas.

"We are willing to accept anyone who wishes to join," he said in a statement, here, today.

More importantly, he said Pas is willing to accept anyone who follows Islamic teaching in their daily life and in solving the nation's problems.

He stressed that Pas was a party that upholds corruption-free politics, is free from abuse of power and governs with honesty and integrity

Recently, there had been speculations of a Barisan Nasional (BN) assemblyman joining Pas.

Sinar previously reported that Rembia assemblyman Datuk Muhammad Jailani Khamis confirmed the claims that he was the mentioned BN assemblyman.

However, Jailani has remained secretive when asked to explain his intention in detail
