Only BN or PH logos will be used during state elections, says Umno member
KUANTAN - Only the Barisan Nasional (BN) or Pakatan Harapan (PH) logos will be used for the six states facing elections soon and not individual parties of Umno or DAP.
Umno Supreme Council Member Datuk Seri Mohd Sharkar Shamsudin said both coalitions have given their trust that the candidates brought forward would bring victory.
“No Umno or DAP logos. Only BN or PH logos would be used. Let’s not be easily caught up in the hype to confuse members and supporters,” he said in a statement, today.
He reminded members not to be trapped by the political games of certain parties attempting to disrupt the stability of the unity government.
“I want to emphasise that the candidates who will compete in the six states facing elections will be representing BN, PH and coalition partners," he said.
Sharkar staid there are some irresponsible parties were hoping to play on perceptions to confuse the people.
“Today we are together with the unity government as the issue of stability is important and we definitely want a parallel state and central government,” he added.
He said any PH or BN candidates would surely be chosen to ensure continuity and stability.
“We want to see victory and the unity government coordinated at the state level, we need to vote for parties that are in the government today,” he said.
