KUALA LUMPUR - Muafakat Nasional (MN) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa says he would not get angry for not being selected as a Pas candidate for the upcoming state election.

He said as a party member, everyone needed to accept the fact that the right to contest was not up to an individual and that he did not make it his goal to contest.

"I have contested eight times in Umno but was not nominated in the 15th General Election (GE15), I did not explode and got angry.

"This is because the goal of struggle in a party is not to become a candidate. If the party has decided to pick you then it is fate, so you have to accept it and bear the responsibility.

"If not, then the struggle will continue," he said during a press conference at the MN Aidilfitri open house today.

Meanwhile, the former Ketereh MP insisted that he would not make an appeal to return to Umno.

This is because, he claimed that Umno had been completely destroyed including the foundation of the party struggle.

"I will not make an appeal to return to Umno. So the option left is the other party that leads MN which is Pas.
