A 12-year-old boy was killed when the vehicle he was travelling in with his family plunged into a ravine at the Bahau-Keratong Highway in Bandar Melati 15, Muadzam Shah, earlier this morning.

ROMPIN - A 12-year-old boy was killed when the vehicle he was travelling in with his family plunged into a ravine at the Bahau-Keratong Highway in Bandar Melati 15, Muadzam Shah, earlier this morning.

The victim identified as Muhammad Raziq Ramli was from Felda Keratong 6, here.

Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) public relations officer Zulfadli Zakaria said the accident involved three other victims who were two men and another boy.

“We received a distress call at 3.20am and firemen from the Muadzam Shah fire station were dispatched to the scene.

“As they arrived, there was a Perodua Myvi believed to have plunged into a two-metre-deep ravine,” he said in a statement, today.

He said the firemen used a stretcher to lift up the body of the victim.

“The body was handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
