KJ's participation can add value to the party - Bersatu MPT

SHAH ALAM - Having his own character in attracting the support of young people is believed to be one of the biggest contributions that Khairy Jamaluddin can make to Bersatu if the former Umno Youth leader accepts the offer as a member of the party's Supreme Council (MPT).
Bersatu MPT member Dr Muhammad Faiz Na'aman said, with this attraction, the participation of the former Rembau MP is capable in adding value not only to the party, but also PN itself.
"Of course he (Khairy) is able to attract the support of not only political groups, but also the youth, and those in the corporate sector and others who admire him.
"This situation certainly gives added value to Bersatu in particular and PN in general in preparation for the upcoming six state elections (PRN).
"In fact, as a young politician, I personally admire him in several ways," he told Sinar on Thursday.
He said this when asked what contribution Khairy could make if he accepted the offer to join Bersatu leaders.
On Wednesday, Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin confirmed that Khairy had been offered the position of Bersatu MPT member.
Meanwhile, when asked about whether the offer made to Khairy by Muhyiddin was approved by the party or otherwise, Muhammad Faiz said that the leaders gave full mandate to the Pagoh MP to make any decision.
"We certainly expected an invitation for Khairy from the leaders especially Muhyiddin personally and we gave the mandate for Tan Sri (Muhyiddin) to contact Khairy formally or informally," he said.
He added that, looking at Khairy's political stature at the national level, the former Health Minister is deemed worthy of a place in the MPT ranks of any party.
