IPC Shopping Centre launches its 'Gåva with Your Recyclables' waste recycling campaign
KUALA LUMPUR - IPC Shopping Centre is back with its annual waste recycling campaign. This year, the centre introduces 'Gåva with Your Recyclables' to educate and increase awareness of the importance of sustainability while also increasing shoppers recycling efforts. From today until 31 July, shoppers can enjoy double the 'Gåva' - Swedish for rewards; when they recycle paper, plastic, and aluminium at IPC's Recycling and Buy-Back Centre (RBBC) located at P1 car park level.
Gåva with Your Recyclables Throughout the 10-week campaign period, IPC Tack Club Members can recycle as often as they wish to reach the required weight accumulation for three (3) recyclable waste categories (paper, plastic, or aluminium) and redeem exclusive rewards. However, recyclables cannot be combined with different categories to meet the required weight accumulation.
· Tier 1 Rewards: Every accumulation of 6kg to receive RM10 worth of e-vouchers + Tack points · Tier 2 Rewards: Every accumulation of 10kg to receive an RM10 worth of e-vouchers + Tack points + Swedish dishcloth (100% biodegradable) Shoppers' recycling histories are recorded and traceable via the Tack Club member activity profile, and redemption of the rewards can be done at i-Counter.
In conjunction with the centre's waste recycling campaign, IPC Shopping Centre is also the first and only shopping centre to have partnered with Arus Oil to introduce a new recyclable category. Shoppers can recycle their used cooking oil at the centres' RBBC on selected dates to receive RM1.40/kg additional cashback through the Arus Oil application. By entering the exclusive promo code 'IPCCUS2023' under the profile tab in the Arul Oil application, shoppers can enjoy higher rewards at RM1.90/kg cashback. The first 90 recyclers will also receive a free Jerry Can when they present their Arus Oil or Tack Club membership at the Arus Oil booth located next to RBBC on the below collection dates from 10am-8pm: · 27 May, 3 June, 24 June, 8 July, 29 July, 26 August, 23 September 2023 Additionally, the centre has partnered with Alliance Bank to reward its credit card holders who participate in the waste recycling campaign with a canvas bag when they recycle for a minimum of 6kg of the recyclables. IPC Tack Club members who are Alliance Bank card holders can redeem this at i-Counter, Level G by presenting the Alliance Bank credit or virtual card.
In the spirit of recycling, shoppers can also look forward to a variety of fun activities and events throughout the month including weekend Små Club Workshops at Funland, Level 2 from 2pm to 3pm to educate the little ones on the importance of recycling since young. Materials made from the workshops will then be used to decorate the Gåva display on Level 2 using recycled paper flowers to create a blooming art floral installation. This also acts as a pledge towards protecting Mother Earth through incorporating green initiatives in our everyday lives.
Moreover, shoppers can support virtually by posting photos on Facebook or Instagram accounts using the hashtag #IPCGavaGreen featuring their little environmentalists in action at home and redeem complimentary sticker packs from i-Counter, Level G.
